Published each quarter, Senior Source informs members of special events, monthly activities, health seminars and travel opportunities.

Wellness Center Discount
Senior Horizons members receive discounts on monthly membership fees at Huntsville Hospital Wellness Center, the region’s premier health and wellness program. Each Wellness Center has an experienced staff who can tailor an exercise and nutrition program especially for you. Each facility features a heated swimming pool and sauna, steam room, Cybex training equipment and much more.

Hospital Cafeteria Discount
Members receive a discount on a variety of healthy food choices at Huntsville Hospital Main Cafeteria. The cafeteria serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Breakfast (6 - 10 a.m.) • Lunch (11 a.m. - 2 p.m.) • Dinner (4 - 6:45 p.m.)

Walking Program
Parkway Place Mall opens at 7 a.m. daily (9 a.m. on Sundays) for those wishing to walk before stores open.

Travel Opportunities
Enjoy affordable long-distance tours hosted by professional tour agencies and day travel hosted by the Senior Horizons coordinator. All travel destinations are listed in Senior Source and full itineraries are available in the Senior Horizons office.

Group Luncheons
Dates and locations for group luncheons are listed in Senior Source.

  • Tasty Tuesday – sometimes catered, sometimes potluck-style and always on Tuesday – is a quarterly luncheon for all members to enjoy.
  • Lunch Bunch – the second Tuesday of each month – gives members the opportunity to try out area restaurants while enjoying the company of friends.
  • Annual Picnics – two per year and potluck-style – are the best way to couple good food with the great outdoors.

Free Photocopying
Service available at the Senior Horizons office, 1st floor, Plaza Resource Center during office hours.

Free Parking
Free valet parking is available to Senior Horizons members 65 years and older (Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Please refer to the Parking Policies and Procedures for more information.
